I have to run, so forgive me if this post isn't very clear.
friendshipper called my attention to this post by the LJ staff. They admit they made mistakes with the recent decision about basic accounts. They have also repaired whatever it was that caused those Most Popular Interests to disappear (I'll try to dig up a link here and paste it in later; if you have one, feel free to stick it in comments).
I think the strike was not unreasonable, but the goals I hoped would be realized from it have already been realized. LJ is listening to us, admitting mistakes, and taking steps to fix them.
If you don't see me tomorrow, I'm not striking. I'm not condemning anyone on any side; I'm just saying that I no longer feel a strike warranted, so I won't be participating.
I do wonder if news of a pending strike helped encourage LJ to respond to us, but the world may never know.
In any case, I appreciate LJ's attempts to be more responsive to us and hope they will continue.
