Incredible Anglo-Saxon manuscript (in Latin) with amazing diagrams and illustrations up on the web:
Oxford St John's College MS 17 via Oxford Digital Library.

Click "Open item" to get inside. Use the pull-down menu to select pages; they're given typical manuscript numbering, with a new number for each leaf, not each page. v=verso (left-hand side); r=recto (right-hand side).
The first several pages are blank; your computer is not malfunctioning (well, probably not).
Look at the beautiful diagrams on
fol. 7v
37r-42r (page 41 has been cut! Ow! Ow, ow, ow! How could they do that?)

You can use Zoom to get close-ups; it may take a moment to focus. (It may take forever if you have a low-speed connection. "Image heavy" doesn't begin to cover it.)

There are many other wonderful pages, but these will get you started. Yeah, it's in Latin, but planet names and a few other things are easily recognizable. And the colors! Ooh! Ahh!

Totally work-safe--except for the fact that you can easily spend hours just looking.

Fortunately, my work includes looking. Don't I have the best job?
