I love this episode! Sally Sparrow is great! I love the concept! I'm running out of exclamation points!

I really didn't like last year's "Doctor Lite" episode; I liked Elton (and I loved the ELO tribute band), and I hated, hated, hated what they did to him and MyrtleUrsula at the end; that was just wrong.

But "Blink" was very satisfying, even though we saw so little of the Doctor and Martha ("And I had to get a job in a shop! To support him!"--typical Doctor). I really like Sally Sparrow. I knew that Larry was Kathy Nightingale's brother, but I didn't put two and two together, and my husband and I both groaned out loud when Sally asked at the DVD shop for "Lawrence Nightingale"!

I love the idea of quantum-locked beings. If it's bad science, then I'm afraid I don't want to know (though I am getting a little tired of these, like, totally ancient beings that have been around since the creation of the universe or shortly thereafter and are terribly malevolent and conveniently inscrutable). I loved the Easter eggs (but how did the Doctor record his message in 1969? Darned good film production for the time, wasn't it? And in what form did he give Billy the program for the TARDIS? He didn't just hand him a DVD in 1969, and he didn't have the TARDIS at his disposal!)

I actually found the weeping angels much creepier when they weren't making scary faces, and I did see the ultimate solution coming ("That's why they cover their eyes--so they don't accidentally see each other"), but I found the whole episode a blast.

Yes, yes, I'll watch the rest of the season soon! (But I bought Life on Mars series one recently (on sale! at the airport Duty Free), and we haven't gotten through Torchwood s1, we have at least one episode of Star Cops left, and more than two season of Slings and Arrows! What's a girl to do?)
