So after I decided that I couldn't comfortably read my friends' page in my new style, I looked at every style several times and tried a few of them. I think I can read things now, and I found something close to the style I used to have, which apparently isn't available any longer. (Perhaps it was s1?)

I hope this is better—for me and for all of you. Thanks for responding to my last post. I had a very frustrating time going through styles. Many of them don't show the journal subtitle! I like my quotation from Julian of Norwich very much and want it to show! Some had bad kerning so the title showed, but it was broken over two lines, with letters overlapping hideously. Some styles removed the links at the top of the page. How do you get to User Info if you don't see a link? (That's rhetorical. I know, actually, but it's less convenient to add "profile" on the end of the URL than click a link.) I was surprised at how many styles were missing elements that I consider important.

At some point I will put up an actual post with content.

There will definitely be an SG-1 story, probably before said post.

I have not forgotten Primeval, [livejournal.com profile] kristen_mara; I'm hoping eventually to get back to Story 3 in my Epic Arc. I've just had a very busy year.

We've recently gotten into Downton Abbey, which I'm really enjoying.

Sorry I didn't respond but with my vision problems, I always set my LJ to show everything in my style. That way I know I can always read stuff.

I've watched Downton Abbey from the get-go and love it.

Ohhh, like this!! And yes, very similar to your other style!

See, I don't get that either. So many of the styles and designs are missing the IMPORTANT things. Made my search a pain in the ass, too...though I'm going to have to do it again soon. Don't want people reading my ElJay and getting a headache! I love the look, but I know it can be headache inducing.

YES!! GIMME FIC!!!

I need to see that show...

That's a nice style!

Downton Abbey is wonderful! I don't usually go for costume drama (unless it's ancient Rome, Greece, or Egypt) but it's totally addictive and Greg likes it as much as I do. I suspect I need a Violet Crawley icon.

I like the purple!

Hee, thanks - I'm so glad you're still wanting to continue with that Primeval series. I REALLY want to see what you've told me about part 3. But I understand how busy you've been, and also, I've left at least two of my trilogies unfinished in at least two fandoms, so I can't be too whiny about it ;) Shall wait patiently.

It looks good!

I kind want to change my LJ style but it's been so long since I did anything other than post on LJ, and in the meantime, LJ has completely overhauled their system, thus, I rather suspect that getting the layout I want shall prove impossible. Also, I'm wary of changing anything for fear that I accidentally disable a function that a) I love and b) LJ no longer supports, and can then not get it back...
