It has been raining cats and dogs for over half an hour here. Brilliant Husband had to go out for the evening; it was probably when he went out that the frog came in. We get some really small frogs here; I don't know if they're young or just tiny, but this, like many, could fit on a nickel.
Doofus found the frog and kept jumping on it, which is how I noticed it. He'd have killed it before long, though not deliberately: "Come fix my toy! My new toy broke!". I have a terrible time grabbing frogs or lizards. I'm not really afraid of them; we had newts when I was a kid (now there's a fairly hypoallergenic pet!). I'm more afraid of hurting them, so I grab too loosely, and I lose them.
Small Child successfully grabbed the frog while I tried to hold the cat back, and I opened the door so she could toss him back out into the night.
Grow big and strong and eat lots of mosquitoes, little Froggy!
