Thank you very much! I did have a wonderful day for many reasons, including: the fact that I was finally on English soil after years of wanting to get there, that I got to share it with some LJ friends (Fredbasset, Nietie - whose netname I have found that I have been mispronouncing for years! - and Fififolle) PLUS we got to spend it at the Murray Parish Rookwood Music Festival, where James Murray spent a lot of time chatting with us, signing and posing for pics and we met Sarah too ;) So I don't know how to top that next year (well, if I can meet Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan... hee - if I hadn't already been committed to the England trip I would have gone to Philly to see them at the Wizard World con.)
Then I got to meet some other fandom friends too and see so many great historical things
So, I've been back at home for just a few days and am still trying to work out what time zone I am in and climate. Got heaps of fic writing done on the plane trips. Hope to start catching up with emails. Hope all is well with you
It was fantastic. I'm looking forward to going back to England.
It took me ages to get over the timezone and climate changes and to get used to being back at work. I should be able to email you, finally, later this weekend.
I had been pronouncing Nietie as it read: 'Ni' as in 'night/the end is nigh' and 'tie' as in 'tie a knot'. But it is pronounced as "Knee-tee". I guess I should have realised that from Nietie's own real life name.
Here's a photo/commentary on the amount of fic I wrote on the plane rides:

Wait—how DO you pronounce "Nietie"?
All is well. Summer seems to be going fast. I need to make more posts.
