I didn't mean to listen in to Joe Mallozzi's virtual dinner with his 750,000 commenter, actually, but when I discovered it was on just when I checked his journal (having made no mental note of what day it was, let alone what time), I followed.

So, if you don't like spoilers, don't go under the cut. And it may not even happen. But

I hope I'm not violating etiquette by posting this. I'm bad at etiquette. Anyway, Emily asked, "Ok, it has to be asked. You mentioned something about exciting news coming up for a character in S5. Would this announcement have anything to do with Carson Beckett? If you don’t want to give anything away, just say “Maybe, maybe not.” Then again, if it DOESN’T involve him, feel free to just say “no.” ;)"

JM replied, "To answer your question...maaaaybe. The deal has yet to be closed."

I hope I'm not squeeing prematurely here, but--SQUEE! I intend to leave encouraging comments at his blog after a decent interval (I'm not stalking the man, really; I didn't even remember he was at dinner!).

Yep! It's kind of near the beginning (do a Find on Page for "maaaaybe"; it only occurs once!).
