Some of us fondly recall a song from our youth about a little rabbit who terrorized field mice until the Good Fairy put a stop to his evil deeds.

It seems there are variants in the song. There also seem to be different origin myths. Please take my little poll to help me find which are the most common! If you have one of the less-common variants, I'm curious about where and when you learned it, if you'd like to say in the comments.
