DW: "Human Nature" and "Family of Blood"

Wow. I just got to these two episodes. We only set out to watch one episode, but dang, it's been a long time since I've seen a good cliffhanger on Doctor Who! (A whole year, I think!) So we watched both episodes. Together, they made a powerful story; I have a couple of questions and am really hoping that some of y'all will comment and tell me what you think.

Let me start by saying how tremendously impressed I am with David Tennant and Freema Agyeman. We've gotten to see multiple sides of Martha before, but this story gave her some really strong scenes and a chance to show some range. And David Tennant--oh, I was so upset that Christopher Eccleston only did one season, and I still think CE is great, but DT is marvelous, and he really outdid himself in this story. (Of course, he has the unfair advantage of those huge, expressive eyes.) ( Spoilers after the cut )
