Do they have a program to convert to Chaucer English or do they type it...? I never even thought of such a program! I suppose something like Babelfish or Google Translator could be set up for Middle English, but I don't think it has been done.
No, the author and a number of other people compose in Middle English. It's not easy. I've done some of it myself. I constantly have to check my verb forms and much of my vocabulary. It takes time. And Old English is my field, but I'm no good at composing in Middle English.
