It's not even just the death rate, although the number of corpses gives me something concrete to point out and say, "See! See!" The whole episode was just dreary. I didn't much care for Astrid; I wanted to, but there wasn't a lot there. The dialogue lacked spark, the episode lacked sparkle. I hardly laughed at all. DW can make me cry (and some good episodes have!), but it has to make me laugh sometimes too, and most of all, it should keep me interested!
