If the show's writers could've written the above scene, perhaps more people would welcome Sam's presence on Atlantis. I liked Sam as part of SG1, but I'm still ambivalent regarding her role in Atlantis.
That was a brilliant bit of speculation on your part regarding possible consequences of actions versus inaction; I bought what Sam was selling, and hopefully Rodney did, too.
