Ncuti Gatwa has been named the Fourteenth Doctor! I haven't seen him in anything yet, but that was true of almost every Doctor before him. I had seen Jodie Whittaker in Broadchurch and . . . um . . . oh! I had seen Peter Capaldi . . . in Doctor Who! As a different character. And Colin Baker in . . . Doctor Who! (And I saw Peter Capaldi in Torchwood: "Children of Earth" before he became the Doctor, but I'd like to forget that TW: CoE existed, thanks.)
I have friends who love Sex Education and love Ncuti Gatwa in it, and they're excited, so I'm excited too!
I will miss Jodie Whittaker.
But the Wife of Bath says in noting that she has had five husbands, "Welcome the sixte, whan that ever he shal!" My attitude towards Doctors has long been "Welcome the next, when that ever he shal!" (Or she! Or they!)
