BBC America is showing a Doctor Who Halloween special today! It airs first at 2:25–3:37 (Eastern Daylight Time), but an "extended version" that seems to be four minutes longer starts around 8 tonight, so I'm tuning in to that one.
There will be subsequent specials instead of a regular season. (I hope it will be better than the specials that ended the Tenth Doctor's run, which I remember not liking but otherwise don't remember much at all, except for his refusal to regenerate and how it ended up happening.)
I don't know how I missed this as the news has apparently been out for about three weeks ("Doctor Who season 13: release date and everything we know" by Matthew Forde, but Brilliant Husband found out and alerted me only last week.
I'm a little sad Progeny won't be here to watch with us, but that has become the normal way of things now that she's adulting and living in another city normally.
