Two things
First: someone on my flist wrote a Cabin Pressure story connected with "Vaduz," and I missed the episode and so feared to read the story in case there were spoilers. I finally broke down and bought "Vaduz" and listened (love it!)—and now I can't remember who wrote the fic and where it is.
If you wrote it, or know where it is, please tell me where I can find it!
Second: I just think it's hilarious that the top of my Friends Page says this:
"You're using the old version of the Friends page — switch to the new one and try to customize it."
try to customize it. Go on—I dare you!

Also, that's exactly what I think every time I see the note that I'm using the old format of my flist.

But thanks for the suggestion.

*laughs somewhat manically* I have been studiously ignoring the link, and had completely missed the bit on the end. 'Try'? Oh, eljay, you're not really selling this very well! Also, first they tell us, "New flist! Enforced change! So everyone's the same!" Then they try and placate us with a customise option. Newsflash LJ, that's what I'm doing with the old version!
Oh god, this is never going to end well.

The BBC show page for it gives the basics: a paragraph on the premise and then one each for the four main characters. The tagline is: "Sitcom about an airline for whom no job is too small but many, many jobs are too difficult."
I started listening because someone said that Benedict Cumberbatch is great in it. He is; it's my favorite role of his. ducks objects thrown by Sherlock fans The amazing thing is that he isn't even the best (although it never gets old that his character is explicitly short, maybe even tiny, in the show, even though we all know BC is something like six feet tall.
Roger Allam wins the show for me, with his brilliant voice and his witty delivery as Douglas Richardson, the first officer. (I even wrote a fic, "Oxford"; it came out of a dream. I've never dreamed anything usable in fic before. It helps to know the characters before you read, but you don't have to hae heard specific episodes.)
The writing is always funny and sometimes insane and frequently insanely funny. You can find episodes on YouTube sometimes. I started listening to random episodes that way and then started buying seasons on iTunes (where I have more credit than I know what to do with). It's best if you can start with episode 1.1, but I think it works if you start elsewhere too; goodness knows I did.

Thanks! I enjoyed that. It was driving me crazy: I couldn't remember, and I couldn't go through the LJ pages for each of my friends that I thought I remembered being into CP!
