Dinosaur comic

I don't normally read this strip—it doesn't usually amuse me this much—but check out Dinosaur Comics from a month ago. Ha!

I am so adopting the phrase "arse ropes" into every day speech.

Arse ropes? Really and for truly?

Oooo! A middle english compendium! *ponders stargate applications to be beta'd for for correctness by aelfgyfu mead*

Looking at these words, and others...middle english is very colorful, isn't it?

I can generally figure out the middle english. Old english is a lot harder, isn't it?

I can't wait for my next opportunity to tell someone "Oh go on! Show some arse-rope-al fortitude for once!"

Since I'm currently studying the digestive system, this is really amusing. I'm going to sneak this into my notes.

Yes, I'm taking a course in Medical Transcribing and I have to take an advanced medical terminology class. With electronic medical record keeping becoming popular, I'm hoping to get into this growing field. The other great thing is I can work from home and start my own business.

I'm sure I can slip it in as an answer, but I don't think it will count. ;)

I shall now annotate all my G.I. lectures, replacing the words 'intestine' and 'gut' with arse-ropes. Slightly more seriously, that's an interesting origin for some words.

Forget the class work and exams, the really big question is if I can use it during my clinical rotations next semester! :P

LOL - Thank you for finding weird and wonderful phrases for us to use, or attempt to use. That is a great description!

PS - are you going to try to use it in the Primeval fic sequel? Stephen lost some of his arse ropes when he was injured, didn't he? When he's doing a heap of reading while in therapy, he could find that gem and tell it to Nick and Connor...
