Huh. This does sound interesting. While I knew Columbus was aware of the Earth being round, and even that ancient Egyptians and Greeks knew it too, it's a little confusing to figure out when (and where) round-earth knowledge became common knowledge. Sometimes I wonder if it ever really has. Sadly.
