Reading like crazy these days for some reason. I'm up to 35 books this year so far, so I'm likely to exceed my 52 books a year goal. I enjoyed Hild btw. See a few here I'll put on my tbr list. Just started a quartet by Sarah Monette that I'm liking enough to go on to book 2. Really liked her 'Goblin Emporor' under her other writing name, Katherine Addison. (Too lazy to figure out which is her real name if either.)

Without trying to spoil about Cap (and if anyone needs to avoid, stop reading now anyway), I have a theory. I believe that too many youngsters can't understand/accept his 'old-fashioned' ways and beliefs. The character is rooted in WW2. I think the younger readers and especially the younger writers just don't know how to handle him and their lazy way of dealing with him is to get rid of him. Just a theory mind you, from a crusty old broad. Anyway, I'm planning on avoiding Civil Wars as much as possible. The whole concept sounds to me like a giant WTF. I've been picking up the odd Ms./Cap. Marvel just to get a feel for the character(s) in prep for a movie.
