White Collar: at the risk of sounding like a stuck record, OH MAN ME TOO. Actually, my frustration with WC fandom refusing to acknowledge Neal's culpability (putting all the blame on Peter instead) is the main reason why I've almost completely withdrawn from it. It's just not fun anymore. The show is not great about bringing Neal to task for what he's done (Pratchett does it a hundred times better with Moist von Lipwig, who basically IS the fantasy-world version of Neal), but at least Neal and Peter's sides of the narrative are given more or less equal weight and empathy. The fandom, though -- *gnashes teeth* But you know how I feel about this. :D

In general, though, isn't it interesting to watch the same themes recur over and over in one's fic? I basically already know what I tend to write about; it's really more or less the same between fandoms (people finding home in each other, fluff-with-angst-and-h/c). I've written more or less the same story a few dozen times. Every so often I come up with something different. XD Still, I think it's really interesting how each author has their own preferred themes to work on. You see it with published authors too!
