JoCo videos

Jonathan Coulton has made videos! They're fairly simple, but cool—especially if you haven't heard these songs yet.

"Nemeses," featuring John Roderick (for which I still want someone to make a Sherlock vid):

and "Still Alive," featuring Sara Quin, which you have to watch if only to see the theramin player (THERAMIN PLAYER!):

Hey, can anyone see my userpic here? It's supposed to be the picture of me with Weird Al in my lap, but it seems to be broken. I just looked at my Userpics, and a bunch of them seem not to be working. I hope that's temporary.

First video I saw for "Still Alive" was just a video grab of the end credits of Portal. Although, I don't remember that version having a theramin. I also love his end credit track for Portal 2, "Want You Gone".

Oh wow! New JoCo! That first one is totally made for Sherlock! Have you requested a vid on the Make Me A Monday post yet?

I prefer the version of Still Alive where it's just Jonathan singing, but that Theramin thing is fascinating!

Re: the user pic, LJ seems to be having some issues with graphics lately. They'll figure it out eventually.

Generally you drop a request, poke around, see if anything catches your interest to fill, (it's not all stories either, obviously), but it's not mandatory.

The vidders in this fandom neeeeeeed to know about this song though, so I'd view it as a service to the community as a whole. XD

It's a video game. A thinky type one where you have to use portals and sometimes other objects in order to get through obstacles. Surprisingly, I still haven't played it. They had a very brief window of opportunity to get the game for free and I missed it by something like a half hour. I may have to break down and purchase it.
