She's most contrary with us (we think). We actually got her started on The Dark is Rising, but she isn't awfully interested in reading the second one; someone said the first one was a bit of a slow start. She may come back to it.

Small Child loves reading, so we don't push her too much towards particular books. We figure there's yet time for good taste to develop!

I think humor drew me to the HP books and was the reason I was so turned off by the last two of them. I found them fairly humorous (and overly long and dull).
