Hello there! I know I haven't been around a lot lately, but I found a fun meme to play with, so please respond!

From awanderingbard:Comment with a story I've written, and I will tell you one thing I knew, learned, or wondered about while writing the story that didn't make it onto the page.

My fanfic can be found on LJ using the tag fanfic--or clicking here. That includes even my most recent little stories (ha! as if I ever wrote a truly "little" story). I haven't updated Aelfgyfu's Mead Hall recently, but that's the only place to read most of my longer stories/novels.

All these stories involved things that never made it into writing or made it and were later cut, so don't hesitate to ask about a short one, a long one, or a long-ago one.

Guys, I'm in Chicago and I know Reza's. I now want to be all like Hawkeye (though he did it by phone) and get you shipped some of their cuisine. I'm so bummed that I don't think it would travel well. :-( On the flip side, you're not restricted to US Army chow, so be grateful for that. :-)

Ah! Have you been there? Is it as good as I remember? I had a wonderful chickpea dish with tomato sauce that was so good we tried to replicate it; we didn't succeed but came up with something different and good. I can't remember what it was called, but it doesn't seem to be on the menu any more.

Thanks for the thought, but no, we're not on Army rations!

It is every bit as good as you remember :-) I just this weekend moved out of walking (for dinner) distance from it, but I'll certainly be going back despite the lack of parking options.

I don't think that is still on the menu, but I'm sure your improvisation was fabulous in its own right. :-)
